TENTED ROOMS

Tented room themes have been used since the nomads roamed the world. They are fun, exotic and can be very elegant or inspire the exotic.

All kids dream of sleeping out in the backyard in tents and build them out of pillows and pitched sheets inside of their rooms. It conjures up thoughts of African hunts, big circuses, and wild adventures.  The dramatic peaks and valleys of fabric bring a sense of warm and cozy to a small room.  They can be created in fabric, with faux finishing and paint or with wall paper.

The first time I ever slept in an adult sophisticated tented room was in London at the Blake's Hotel.  It was magical and made me feel like Ernest Hemingway.
